About TEA

The Twin-cities Expatriates Association (TEA) was formed in 2003 to provide a contact point, support network, information service, and an opportunity for expatriates and their families living in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to meet and get to know each other socially.

We are a nonprofit, registered Association run by a volunteer committee drawn from our members.

The association facilitates communication between long term and newly arrived expatriates, helping newcomers identify the services and information (e.g. medical services, shopping, education, recreation) needed upon arrival in a new city and country. With the help of our members, and the collective experiences and recommendations, we have compiled a directory of services, which is available to members of TEA. Through TEA, members are also introduced to the many cultural and social opportunities available in Hyderabad. As a member, you should be able to settle in more quickly and feel less isolated as you adjust to your new surroundings.

Membership is generally open to anyone wishing to interact with the expatriate community.

Socially, we have a weekly get together at the Walden Club, and regularly organize events based around traditional, local and international celebrations.

If you are planning a move to the Hyderabad area in the near future, whether for a short or long term visit, you may care to read the newcomers section or to for more information about relocation, living in India or general information about Hyderabad.
