TEA celebrated India’s 60th Independence Day on Saturday August 18 with a grand dinner and dance held at the Taj Krishna Hotel. The evening was dubbed the Freedom Party and TEA members and their guests came to celebrate the evening in their specially made outfits colored in saffron, white and green. It was obvious that attendees gave a lot of thought into getting dressed for the evening as they all looked very festive. Prizes were given to the best dressed woman, man, and couple. By the end of the evening everyone had dance fever, where the DJ saved the best music for the last and everyone joined the dance floor in celebration. For those attendees whose dancing were especially festive and inventive, prizes were handed out – again to the best male, female and couple. Everyone agreed that they deserved their prizes when the winners graciously gave solo performance celebrating Freedom through their dance. Bravo!! The celebration continued on well past mid-night, and no one wanted it to end.
