Policy and Guidelines on the Usage of the Indian School of Business (ISB) Facilities
TEA members are granted entry on the first and third Sundays of every month between 10:00am and 3:00pm. Individuals are expected to follow the guidelines provided by ISB, as described below.
The following facilities are available to TEA members at no cost:
- Learning Resource Center - library, reading center, media room, and computer lab
- Recreation Center - swimming pool, squash court, gymnasium, billiards, basketball court, and badminton court
The following services are available for a charge at the prevailing rates:
- Dining Hall - A buffet lunch is available 12:30pm - 3:00pm. Lunch is charged on a per person basis; payment is collected by Sarovar Park (service provider) in the dining hall.
- Coffee Shop - Beverages and snacks are sold per item.
Entry to ISB Campus
Please do the following to assure that you are granted entry into the ISB campus.
- Produce your TEA membership card along with membership cards for any guests.
- Provide a list of guests along with TEA membership numbers.
- Declare personal belongings (e.g., cell phones, laptop) to security before entering the premises.
Parking
Park your vehicle at the designated parking place near the Academic Center or Recreation Center as instructed by the security personnel. ISB is not be responsible for any damages to or theft of vehicles.
During Your Stay On Campus
You are advised to follow all campus rules and regulations. Please keep the following in mind:
- Carry your TEA membership card on your person while on the ISB campus.
- Carry the visitor pass issued by ISB security on your person while on campus.
- Return the visitor pass to the security personnel at the main gate when leaving the campus.
- Respect the privacy of the students, their families and the campus community.
- Maintain the ambiance of the campus.
- ISB is not responsible for any injury or damage suffered during your stay on campus.
- An infirmary is available on campus and can be used in an emergency situation. Ultimately, members are responsible for themselves, their guests, and their dependents.
Usage of Facilities
Swimming Pool:
- Follow the rules as displayed near the swimming pool.
- Members are responsible for their own safety, their dependents and guests when they use the pool.
- Eating or drinking around the pool is prohibited.
Squash Court:
- Members should make their own arrangements for sports equipment, i.e. rackets, balls, shoes, etc...
- Follow the rules of the squash court and protect the property from damage.
Gymnasium:
- All the facilities of the gymnasium may be used.
- Users should get medical clearance from their respective physicians before they use the facility. ISB is not responsible for any consequential damages that may occur.
- A trainer is available at no cost.
Billiards:
- The billiards table and accessories are available at no cost.
Basketball and Badminton Courts:
- Members should make their own arrangements for sports equipment, i.e. rackets, balls, shuttle-cocks, shoes, etc...
- Follow the rules of the courts and protect the property from damage.
Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The LRC offers a library, reading center, media room and computer lab. Following are guidelines specific to the LRC.
- TEA members may use the LRC for reference and reading purposes. The use of LRC services should be purely for academic or personal use only. The services, under no circumstances, should be used for commercial purposes.
- You will need to produce TEA membership cards as and when requested to use the facilities at the LRC.
- The Media Lab and the Computer Lab are available to view AV resources and use the Internet respectively.
- Print outs/photocopies of articles as per LRC policy are permissable from time to time.
- Members cannot borrow books from the LRC.
- You cannot download nor send soft copies as an attachment via emails while using the resources at ISB.
- LRC strictly follows copyright laws and members are expected to also abide by those laws. No complete book or journal will be allowed for photocopy.
- Services will be charged as per the fee structure given below:
- Photocopying - Rs 5/- per A4 sheet
- Printing - Rs 5/- per A4 sheet
- Courier - Rs 100/- (less than 100 pages) and Rs 300/- (more than 100 pages) within India and Rs 500/- for overseas couriers (less than 100 pages) and Rs 1000/- (more than 100 pages).
*These charges are applicable only for printing and photocopy of articles from academic journals, magazines or books.
** Any reference query on company profiles, market intelligence, industry trends, data and analyst reports from various sources will be charged Rs 5/- per A4 sheet or Rs 1,000/- per query (whichever is highest) + courier and handling charges as mentioned above.
- The Director - Learning Resource Center has the right to restrict access of any member if found violating the rules and regulations.
